Check out These Top Industries that are Hiring Now

Whether you’re a new graduate or just looking to change things up in your professional life, here are a few of the top industries that are looking to hire.

Office and Administrative Support

From Los Angeles to New York, office and admin support has added nearly 400,000 jobs in just one month. Whether it’s a customer service representative or an executive secretary role, these jobs are in high demand. With so many sectors growing, the extra office support is needed.

Computer and Mathematical Occupations

It’s no secret that tech jobs have continued to grow year over year. However, many people don’t know that with technology comes the need for mathematicians as well. Software developing, computer system analysts, and computer user support specialists won’t see a shortage of jobs anytime soon. And with almost as many jobs added as office support staff, there should be no lack of positions to apply for.

Sales

Although in the past sales has gotten a bad rap, times are changing. So much so that the sales profession added just over 350,000 jobs last August. The majority of these hires revolved around the retail and wholesale sectors but also branched out to science products. Not to mention, the median salary for a sales rep is just over $59k.

Healthcare

One of the steadiest growers since the recession is healthcare. It has steadily increased over 2% each year. Doctors, dentists, nurses, and home health aides are always in demand. With an aging population, healthcare workers are needed more than ever. And don’t worry about needing a fancy diploma: an x-ray technician can make up to $60k a year and that’s with a 2-year degree.

Business and Finance

Major cities, like Atlanta and Chicago, are constantly hiring business staples: accountants and human resource specialists. With big businesses moving in, thanks to tax breaks, companies need to fill their departments more than ever. Although being an accountant does require a degree in the field, it’s well worth it with the median hourly pay around $32.
